The non-professional horse owners that Clinton use to show how his techniques work for real people serve well to show the effectiveness of his method. This is a very clearly written book with many illustrative pictures.
I like Clinton Anderson in general. I like the basic overall approach in this book. It covers 2 different riders with 2 different experience levels and problems. I would recommend this book. I have read it in it's entirety. Have not yet gone out and followed it step by step with any of my horsess, but I did learn a lot about his philosophy.
I keep a copy of it in the tack room, sometimes you need a reference just in case.R.D.Hot on the Range I think Clinton breaks training down well and gives you plenty of techniques to use when you head to the barn. I read this and passed it around to all my barn friends. Love to share and try all kinds of training techniques, using what works best for each horse I have.
If you're a horse trainer or are just seeking a closer relationship with your horse, I highly recommend this product. As soon as I received this product and began to flip through it I knew that it was going to be a great asset to my horse training, and I wasn't wrong. It tells you exactly what to do and all of the common mistakes.
You & your horse will be so happy you got this book. This book is a written instruction exactly as he does when he performs in his shows. I was lucky enough to see Clinton Anderson in Jacksonville, FL.
